Fine weather for a Grand Tour of Chester, another capsize avoided, Bunbury Staircase and breakfast at Tattenhall.

Cruising down to Ellesmere Port for a night at the museum and a side trip to visit Beeston Castle.

A week ‘off’ for builders snagging, birthday surprises, catching up with friends & relatives around the country and a hairdo.

Dawdling down the Middlewich, with a night at Bramble Cuttings, ‘squeezing’ through Hurleston for a marina mooring on the Llangollen.

A hot August Bank Holiday weekend in Lymm, the Anderton Lift and a cruise up and down the River Weaver.

Back through Wigan onto the Leigh Branch and the Bridgewater mainline, via Trafford Park, with a nice mooring at Stretford.

Much more impressed with Liverpool after an exciting transit through the docks followed by a self-guided whistle stop tour.

A trip home for snagging builders, broken bow thrusters and getting into position for our trip down into Salthouse Docks.

A stop at Parbold and exploring the Rufford Branch preparing to moor up for another trip down South.

Unimpressed by Manchester we set off in the wake of the Water Womble up the Leigh Branch through to Wigan.
